Who we are ?

The AIOCC was created on October 19, 1956, in Milan, at the headquarters of the daily newspaper Gazzetta Dello Sport, under the chairmanship of Jacques Goddet, Director of the Tour de France.

Today, it brings together the biggest organizers of cycling events on the world calendar, including the three Grand Tours.

Word from the AIOCC’s president

“I address you in my capacity as the newly appointed President of our association, wishing first of all to thank you for the confidence you have shown in the Executive Committee elected  Friday, 21 November 2025. Among its 12 representatives, I have been given the great honor and responsibility of serving as President of the AIOCC for the next four years. To them, thank you for your support, and congratulations on your election.

Before anything else, allow me to express my deepest gratitude to Christian Prudhomme for the work he has carried out over the past seventeen years at the head of our collective—work that deserves our full recognition and special appreciation for his defense of the values, principles, and spirit of Cycling. Succeeding Christian is for me a privilege; it is now our duty to uphold and strengthen his legacy. On a personal level, he will always be a role model and a source of inspiration for me.

Thus, the main function of our association must always be to defend the significance of our role within professional cycling as a fundamental pillar for the sustainability, development, and growth of our sport. To achieve this, we will keep all communication channels open with the other stakeholders in cycling, starting with the Union Cycliste Internationale, which, as the highest governing body of cycling, will always find in us a loyal partner whose primary aim will always be to defend the general interests of organizers as the best way to defend the overall interests of cycling.2 In this endeavor, we are fortunate to have one of the most effective instruments we can count on: the unity of all our members. This unity provides us with the stability we need so that, without distraction, we can dedicate ourselves to facing the challenges and solving the problems that, as a whole, we must confront and overcome.

On a personal note, you have at your disposal both myself and the entire AIOCC Executive Committee, together with our General Director, Kiko García—the true heart and alma mater of our Association—for anything you may need from us. Because if there is one thing I am certain of, it is that we are here to work: to work with you, to work alongside you, to work for you.”
