Milano-Sanremo: Mohoric surprises the favorites

Matej Mohoric (Bahrain Victorious) slipped away from the favorites (Van der Poel, Van Aert, Pogacar…) on the descent of the Poggio and earned himself the 113th edition of la Classicissima on Saturday. The Slovenian champion, double stage winner in the last Tour de France, managed to hold off the peloton to take the win on the Via Roma: “I can’t believe I held on until the finish. I think this is the biggest victory of my career! This was studied and prepared and the plan went 100% as we had hoped; that’s really rare in cycling,” declared the winner.

Milano-Torino: Cavendish triples the bet
