The AIOCC was created on October 19, 1956, in Milan, at the headquarters of the daily La Gazzetta Dello Sport. It now includes the world’s largest cycling organizers of the world calendar. In 2025, we have 164 members from 24 countries, including the three Grand Tours and 34 women’s races.

The Professional Cycling Council (PCC) met on 26 March at the headquarters of the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI)
Regarding regulatory changes, all the families represented within the PCC – organisers, teams and riders – had jointly submitted a request that the number of teams participating in the men’s Grand Tours (Giro d’Italia, Tour de France and La Vuelta Ciclista a España) be increased to 23 starting this year
