The 2019 General Assembly of l’Association Internationale des Organisateurs de Courses Cyclistes (AIOCC) was held this Friday, November 22, in Kraków (Poland), at the invitation of the organizer of the Tour de Pologne, LangTeam, led by Czeslaw Lang, President and Agata Lang, Vice President of LangTeam and Vice President of the European Cycling Union (UEC).
Anna Korfel-Jasinska, Vice President of the City of Kraków, also honored us with her presence.
Security, the UCI reform, and the environment were among the topics discussed.
“The safety of the riders and the public is the main obsession of the organizers,” said Christian Prudhomme, President of AIOCC. “But it is also necessary for everyone to recognize and admit – riders, teams, as well as the authorities – that road cycling is a discipline that involves real risks.
Protecting the environment and the fight against doping are also fundamental concerns for us, and cannot be put in the background. It’s about our future. About our shared future.”
For the 2020 season, 19 new races join the AIOCC, bringing the number of our members to 141.

At the AIOCC General Assembly, in November 2017 in Copenhagen (Denmark), Christian Prudhomme, AIOCC President and David Lappartient, UCI President, reaffirmed the entire cycling world’s commitment, and above all organisers, to the safety of cyclists, both in competition and in day-to-day life. This was an opportunity to promote various iniatives such as this jersey with a very clear message.
